cleves rock

Deeply rooted in the rugged cliffs of the south coast, this contemporary home emerges as an extension of the land itself. Anchored by two dominant spine walls, one, an off shutter concrete service spine cutting a precise line through the raw, untamed rock formations; the other, a natural stone structure set perpendicular. From this anchoring, concrete planes extend outward in bold cantilevers, floating effortlessly over the landscape, creating layers of suspended, liveable space.

At the rear, the building nestles into the terrain, its glazed link running the length of the façade, meeting the rock face eye to eye, as if the structure has risen from the earth itself. To the front, recessed glazing allows the cantilevered planes to cast shifting shadows, sheltering the interiors while framing uninterrupted panoramas of the sea.

This is a home that does not seek to conquer its landscape but to become it. A place where architecture and earth entwine, where space unfolds in quiet elegance, and where living is not separate from nature, but immersed within it.
