This faded Victorian home, located in a built up seaside location, needed a complete overhaul to retore her to her former glory.  Mattinson Associates designs were created to provide a modern interpretation to Victoriana keeping many of the traditional features while also making her a fabulous home in which her new family could grow up and work.

The layout was simplified with spaces opened up to provide better flow from kitchen to living spaces while upstairs, additional modest bedroom and bathroom spaces were provided.  A third floor made provision for a studio in which creativity could flourish, inspired by the bird’s eye view of the garden and the sky above.

As with many old buildings, changes over time have seen different construction methods being used and our detailing has compensated for many different building methods used in the past while meeting the more exacting building regulations of 2022.
