The design of this home revolves around two key principles: embracing the natural presence of the trees, with their striking architectural stature, while maximizing sea views and harnessing the sun’s warmth. To achieve this, the structure consists of two stacked rectangular volumes, rotated at an acute angle. The upper volume shifts toward the view and sunlight while turning away from overlooking neighbours, balancing openness with privacy. A deliberate choice of materials grounds the design; the base, clad in reclaimed natural stone, anchors the home to the site, while the blackened timber of the upper volume allows it to merge with the shadows of the trees, softening its presence within the landscape.
