Creating a vibrant, contemporary space that is flooded with light and seamlessly connected to the surrounding landscape isn’t typically associated with the traditional form of barn conversions. However, the goal of this project was to craft awe-inspiring interiors—something unique and distinct from the ordinary. The barns' original structure has been meticulously restored using traditional craftsmanship, preserving their integrity while ensuring the agricultural setting remains undisturbed. Inside, traditional materials have been reimagined in a contemporary way, highlighting the contrast and harmony between the timeworn and the modern. Large openings were carefully cut into the thick stone walls, allowing natural light to flood the interior and framing breathtaking views of the surrounding rural landscape.
