Woodland House gets planning permission!
Woodland House given planning permission! We are excited to announce that Mattinson Associates have secured full planning permission on a local new build. This project is a bespoke new dwelling in a wooded coastal location on the Isle Of Wight. The design caters for particular sensitivity of its surroundings, being in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, (AONB). The site lies in a rural woodland location, and outside of the settlement boundaries of the key regeneration area. This dwelling is contemporary with a palette of materials including natural stone and western red cedar cladding set in and around the trees so it becomes an integral part of the woodland setting. The constraints we had to overcome with the new build design have had to cater for AONB, Ancient Woodland, Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), SPA Buffer Zone ( Solent Mitigation Area) and concerns for the wider rural area and landscape. Through lengthy consultation and sensitive design solutions we are very pleased to have secured this permission first time round and we have kept our 100% record of achieving planning permission for our clients. The project will go to site in the coming months.
